The Actros for municipal operations is tailor-made for the wide variety of tasks in cities and rural areas. To power necessary equipment, such as vacuum and water pumps, the Actros offers a wide range of engines, transmissions and power take-offs (PTOs). The excellent fuel efficiency and low engine and drivetrain wear are further advantages in road sweeper applications, where stationary use of a power take-off can significantly impact fuel consumption.

PTO: engine power to suit every need.
The chassis of the Actros is ideally suited for all special bodies – whether high-pressure flushers, suction vehicles or vehicles with combined high pressure flushing, jetting and recycling. To meet all requirements of this demanding application, Mercedes-Benz offers the rear engine power take-off (PTO), which is driven via the timing gears of the camshaft and delivers a maximum torque of 600 Nm.
